“Ajax” – Alice June Waterman Eastman 1933-2018

Wohelo is sad to lose one of our most loyal alumnae this March.

Alice June Waterman started at Little Wohelo in 1939.

Below is a photo from 1941 with Charlie on the right side.

Alice and her fellow Campers

Ajax went to camp for 12 years right through Staff at Sebago Wohelo in 1951. In this photo, Ajax is standing tallest on the right.

But most of us youngsters will remember Ajax during her time back at Sebago Wohelo between 2006 and 2015 where she lived in Ursa Minor cabin and helped run the Nature program (and kept Boulders Teba in tip-top shape!)

All of us at Wohelo feel so very lucky to have shared in this wonderful woman’s life.  We are glad she didn’t change much in the 80 years we knew her.

Left in 1941 and above in 2006 on Dynamite.
