Great weather for these four to do some amazing work on the Boathouse retaining wall as well as Little Wohelo and Boulder’s Diving Docks
1955 view of Sailcove. No retaining wall, just a small inlet.
1957 they built a dam of earth and pumped out the water so they could construct the cove. Below photo is from an unfortunate incident where a Crane sank in the mud and had to be saved by a bigger crane.
1957 Wall has been built and Halsey moved his new 18 MIT Tech dinghies in.
2016 Start of project -Low water this year was helpful but this time we needed to work down from the top. Lots of lifting rocks out of the cribwork!
October 28th – Beautiful!
They have a great system for using this dock to carry around equipment and supplies and to work from. Here Lew is getting a tow to the worksite at Boulders. Not a bad commute.
