October Update from Wohelo

We are still savoring last summer and are so excited to see so many people signed up already for 2024!!!         Registration HERE

Our big project over the winter is rebuilding Swallows, the Little Wohelo Dining Hall.  Shown above in 1930 and below this week, missing bell and stairs.  The Canada Geese were not impressed.

Emily will be coming back to quite a new kitchen next summer!

Above – Ossie Jewett installing one of many, many banisters on Swallows that have worn out over the years.

WE NEED A NEW OSSIE!!
We are currently starting the search for a year round head of maintenance.

We’ve only had 4 different people in this job in 110 years.  Ossie was with us for almost 70 years, then Pete Donle, Rick Skillings and now Rick Dodson (who isn’t leaving, don’t worry:)

Are you or someone you know the perfect woman (or man!)  for the job….?  Job description at the website or e-mail mark@wohelo.com

The leaves have just started to change, but we look forward to Raking Day on November 11th (rain date November 12th).  Come help us put camp to bed, have a great meal and watch the progress on Swallows.   More information in November posting or e-mail wohelo@wohelo.com.

Sunset September 16th
