Happy New Year from Wohelo! The Little Wohelo dining hall rebuild is continuing to move along, and we’re excited to see Main Eco Homes start the framing. We hosted many of our 2023 Little and Sebago Wohelo counselors for a fun and snowy Winter Weekend over January 5-7 (some even stayed until the 8th due to the foot of snow that blanketed Wohelo during their stay). Counselors got to sleep in Winterbirds and Snowbirds – the heat was on! Tammy cooked delicious meals – look out for her amazing curry rice bowls next summer. Brooke played the bugle to ensure everyone was on time for a morning dip and meals. We played games, completed puzzles, and celebrated Laura Barnard’s birthday. Counselors were able to experience Wohelo in the winter and enjoyed walking around camp, sledding, and time together. We’re excited that many of these wonderful counselors will be back this summer, and lucky to have such a caring and loyal group!
We’ve had some wicked storms that brought down a few trees but the only damage was to the Little Wohelo tennis backboard.
Heidi and Reed are excited to see folks at the winter gatherings later this month.
