February 22nd snowstorm, windy and 2 feet of snow!
Ice fishing is common on Sebago Lake but most people don’t make it all the way to our area. This past weekend’s Ice Derby and $60,000 prize money brought them driving their trucks, ATVs and walking all over to find fish. This is just one crew near the end of Rookies Island.
Here Kate and Charlie show off their catch, procured from nearby Ice Fisherman the weekend before the competition. This is a Lake Trout, commonly called Togue.
Some people fish with bait, others fish with their wonderful personalities.
Better late than never. This is our crew from the New York Gathering last month.
