As the leaves are starting to change at Wohelo we are thinking ahead to 2021. Sivad Point on October 1st above. Based on our success this past summer we are planning for a 7-week session and are registering at Sebago AND Little Wohelo – full session campers only. If we are able to make this model work financially we know it is a recipe for success both from health and camp perspectives. We will review our options
Things are very quiet at Wohelo and we are still basking in our success and all the wonderful notes that parents have sent thanking us for the experience this summer (see below). An incredibly smooth check in day thanks to tons of preparation and a wonderful group of parents arriving like clockwork with all paperwork and expectations in line. Thank you! We had a day to learn a little about activities and new protocols and it was the 4th of July. With only 1/3 as many campers as usual we had the whole camp in the tow for the first time in memory. We are busy preparing for this summer as June arrives. Our current plan is to run a full session only program at Sebago Wohelo with reduced number of campers. We will be running Little Wohelo as a support camp for extra staff, staff days off (since they can’t leave), health care and isolation cabins. While it won’t be a normal summer, we do look forward to persevering with a wonderful group of Wohelo girls.

A snowy March morning at Wohelo. Rookies Island keeping safe distance from the Blueberries. All three islands are hoping to have lots of Wohelo visitors this summer. We are continuing with our summer plans as we watch the crazy times. At this point we plan on running camp normally, using good judgment and following applicable advisements. We have had all sorts of weather this month, this was the snowiest morning. The lake had perfect ice on it for one day, way too thin for skating but pretty.
