Happy Autumn - A Busy Time for Our Maintenance Team!
Here at camp, the leaves are changing, the days are shorter, and the air is cooler. Boats are tucked away for the winter, the Houseboat is sitting on the Little Wohelo beach, and maintenance projects are in full swing. Work continues on the Little Wohelo dining hall, Swallows. At Sebago Wohelo our iconic Lewa tower needs a refresh, so our amazing maintenance team recently dismantled it and will build a new one for next summer. It was quite the site to see the guys painstakingly take apart the tower and put it onto one of our floating docks to pull it over the sailing cove (see picture below). Other areas around camp are getting updated like a brand new walkway into Lowremai, the gazebo in the circle was re-roofed with a Wo Girl symbol added to the top, work on cabins, and boat maintenance. We’re thankful for our wonderful maintenance team who are putting lots of effort into our facilities and equipment.
We have opened registration for 2025. Please fill out the Camper Application to begin the registration process and spread the word to your friends, co-workers, family, and anyone you think would be a good fit for Wohelo. We sincerely believe in the value of the full season camp. Our preference for the seven-week season comes from over 100 years of experience working with young people at Wohelo. Half sessions were created only as a one summer experience to introduce girls to camping.
Join us next Labor Day Weekend (Friday, 8/29-Monday, 9/1) because camp is back in session! Pack up your red swimsuit and uniform. Dust off your Frog pin and your Bug Paddle.
