Sad news this month as Wohelo has lost Davis Van Winkle. A fall on the tennis courts last month led to a cascade of medical issues coming together. He died peacefully with family at Louise and his winter home in Sedona, Arizona.
To say he will be missed is an understatement. To say he will be remembered can be shown from the countless stories at his caring bridge site – https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/davisvanwinkle
Our founders day celebration this year will be the only formal service for Davis, but everyone should have a PB and J, a waffle or a piece of carrot cake to celebrate him anytime.
More information to follow – date July 9th at Sebago Wohelo.
Spruce Up Weekend 2023 – May 26th-28th
We need tons of people to make up for Davis not being around!

As Davis would say – “We need some strong backs and weak minds”.

The woods that our family walks and wanders through is rich in quiet or reflecting camp ritual and song.
Our feet, bare and sandaled are at home among the oaks and pines, the sound of which we fall to sleep hearing brush against one another or the wood of the cabin.
Praise the Lord for the goodness that we feel when at home on the lawn or the whirling merry-go-round, watermelon in hand.
Wusch!!
