Spring at Sebago often brings items floating down the lake. From trees to boats to docks. The new Wohelo drone was able to get a good look at this one before the wind took it off towards Migis. Hope it gets home!
We have wonderful groups at both camps for this coming summer and we are getting excited. Here Heidi, Mark and Jennie Walsh are at the New England Camping convention last month. Lots of good information presented at various seminars and Heidi got two new watercraft – http://corcl.com/ We can’t wait to see how they get used.
Don’t forget Spruce Up Weekend May 27th-29th, Memorial Day 2017 Please R.S.V.P. and confirm cabin to [email protected]
The Wohelo Bird will be sent this month. It includes a list of our 2016 donors as well as current news, like that Charlie Gulick Hewson (above left) taught herself to play the piano and is now in a band! It was covered on our local TV station here – http://www.wcsh6.com/news/local/207/band-forms-at-tophsam-retirement-community/431305557
We found all three of these items on E-bay on one day and saved the photos. Three different views of the Sebago Wohelo Sailing Cove when it was White Mountain Camp, probably around 1935. The boat house above is about where the ZIP was parked for years. The tower below was built where the big bell is now.
“Headquarters” burned down and this is where Silver Smithing and Weaving are now. You can see Paddle Painting and Mishanock cabin in the background.
Becca Knisley, Emily Baratta, Sophie Wheelock, Emily Bigelow, Margaret Coons, Caroline Reed, Izzie Mackinnon with Maggie Rogers at NYC concert.
Below photo from last fall looking from Wohelo down Raymond Cape to Frye’s Island.
